Digital ID Redesign Project

This project focuses on translating visual design from physical objects to their digital forms, requiring the consideration and application of communication and interaction principles to meet project goals. The initial focus should be on transforming visual language and design to fully leverage the form and function of digital device displays. Transforming products and communication through emerging technology involves communication, interaction, and visual design principles: clear language to inform users, interaction models to guide engagement, and visual design that uses affordances, hierarchy, and clarity to create emotional connections. As digital security improves, opportunities to use personal, financial, and biometric data via mobile and wearable devices increase, leading to the rapid replacement of physical items like credit cards, event tickets, and medical records with digital counterparts, though digital identification tools like driver's licenses and passports are still emerging and not widely adopted.
